Yorkshire & Humberside Fraud Forum 11th annual conference

Date: Wednesday 16th November 2016
Venue: Park Plaza Leeds

The Yorkshire & Humber Fraud Forum is a not-for-profit organisation that was created to support, encourage and protect the growth of the Yorkshire and Humberside economy by bringing public and private sectors together to combat fraud and financial crime.

The key benefit of YHFF membership is becoming part of a valuable network of people directly involved in the business of combating fraud every day.  The opportunity share knowledge, experiences and best practices - with your counterparts from within your own sector and outside - is an essential business requirement in today's public and private sectors.

Last year's YHFF conference was well attended, by over 100 front-line anti-fraud professionals from around the region and outside, and was also extremely well-received:

"Very well thought out and pertinent for both content and format.  All topics were relevant, interesting and well presented."

"A good mix across the day of real, current issues."

We are therefore delighted to announce the details of the 11th annual conference of the Yorkshire & Humber Fraud Forum.

Key topics at this year's event include:

  • the latest law enforcement and government responses to fraud
  • bribery & corruption
  • whistleblowing
  • employee engagement to prevent cybercrime

and our keynote session this year focuses on corporate bribery and corruption:  our conference chairman Shari Vahl, of BBC Radio 4, will interview David Wilton, Non-Executive Director and Chairman of Audit Committee, Sweett Group - the first company to be sentenced and convicted for the corporate offence of failing to prevent bribery pursuant to section 7 of the UK Bribery Act 2010.
